Words cannot describe how much I love this photo.
If you’re following me on twitter or are friends with me on Facebook you are probably more than aware that I was in Las Vegas last weekend. Why is this such a big deal to me? Because I went to a conference where I didn’t really “know” anyone. I’ve been friends with them online and the one person I’d met in person couldn’t be there (THANKS JAMIE. J/K GURL.) The old Almie would have backed the eff out like, “a Tonka Truck” to quote J.Lo’s masterpiece “On The Floor.” The new Almie had a moment of hesitation, thought about purposefully catching strep throat, then realized, Holy Godzilla this could be the most fun EVER. And it was.
A few words: plastic guitar filled with margarita. Last year when I went to Vegas I saw these and wanted one so badly but didn’t buy it and I have regretted it ever since. Yes, I realize how lucky I am if this was one of my big life regrets. Not only did I get my guitar but I got a whole freaking band and a photographer. People who became my besties and who I completely adore. You guys, I made friends! Me, the sarcastic girl, who always feels awkward (look at the top of this site!!)

The margarita was awful so I dumped it out in the tub and poured some of the (FREE! Thanks Skyy! Sorry, Stoli, don't look!) Skyy vodka into it. SO HARDCORE!!!!
Most amazing was that my brother showed up! He wanted to see me, so he drove from Palo Alto. We hadn’t seen each other in a while and it was an amazing surprise. I didn’t take any photos but he’s in the second video. Here are some photos Kelly took (love you beebs).

Dear Almie,
If you would have backed out, this would have caused two things.
1. A SEVERE COMPLEX. My original roommate backed out on me already. And then Nicole told me you were going to be my new roomie and I about had a panic attack because I’ve been stalking you like a creeper and was super intimidated by you. True story.
2. THIS WEEKEND, AS IT STOOD, WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. We’re talking, like, parallel universe, alternate-timeline, Marty McFly went back to the wrong 1985 shit piles. YOU COULD HAVE MESSED UP THE VERY FABRIC OF THE UNIVERSE IF YOU HAD NOT SHOWN UP BECAUSE CLEARLY THIS WAS MEANT TO HAPPEN.
Also, unrelated to those points, I have some pictures of you & your bro, they’re just in batch 2 and after six hours of fighting with facebook yesterday, I did not have time to load them and I still don’t because I have to go to bed now and get up and be all fresh and rested because I have bridesmaid duties to perform.
I’m thinking about hiring myself out as a professional bridesmaid. I’m starting to get quite good at it. SKILLS. I’m putting it on my resume.

that first pictures is by far my favorite picture of all the pictures i have seen thus far. it definitely cements Kelly’s status as the best band photographer of all time.
I came scary close to backing out, too! I’m so happy we sucked it up and went because then I never would have met you and so many other amazing people and just thinking about that makes me sad. But I’ve also been thinking a lot and I’m pretty sure I’m going to need to be reunited with you soon. I’ll bring my guitar! And I finally started my Britney Spears lollipop (I’ll bring that too!) and ohmygod watermelon is amazing! See I already have so many things to tell you! I MISS YOU!
