“Uhhh.”
I think sometimes we just need to be honest with ourselves. Maybe NOT with each other because sometimes little lies save us from being social misfits. Lies like, “Oh yeah I just nailed that job interview” when someone asks you how you’re doing instead of saying, “Oh yeah I just nailed that Gossip Girl internet survey.”
My honesty? I like getting drunk and going to wax museums. I like men who are attractive. I like vicodin. What?
“Well…there’s still time next time you visit. And I believe they have some LA shows booked. But remember, he is 19.”
I’m actually not. What I’m picturing is my friend’s face as she reads this at her cubicle. God love ya, G-chat.
I also have a thing for musicians, and weirdly enough, younger musicians. I think if you’re a girl and you’re in your early 20s, you also have a thing for musicians. Almost all musicians love me back. Except for two. But one of them was mentally…stunted. So I don’t know if that counts. But that’s another post.
If you can’t be honest with yourself then you’re just making life more difficult. So just admit it. Admit that you’re scared about this new opportunity, be it job related or relationship-wise. Then take a deep breath. The hardest part is admitting your truth. But once you do, nothing bad can happen. It’s out there. It’s you.
I listen to Phoenix and I listen to Britney Spears. What? There’s nothing wrong with that. Nothing is mutually exclusive anymore. Just own your truth. Don’t be afraid to be the person that you really want to be. I think Lady GaGa is the best example of this. And I admire her.
What?
P.S. What you guys want to see more of on this blog? What do you want to see less of? Any ideas? I’m listening! xoxo, Gossip Michael Caine
